Well if you would really come a little closer to the ad you would probably need the funeral services from Bergmann & Sohn. I can’t say it isn’t creative, but a bit too much I think. What if someone actually died near this ad? If somebody committed suicide here? It wouldn’t be funny then for the company.

P.S. they could have written the text “come a little closer” in a very small font – that way they would really get more customers :)

3M Security Glass Ad – break it and you can take the money!

What is a better way to promote the product than giving it for a public test. While screaming “our glass is unbreakable” doesn’t really sound convincing, put the glass in the bus stop and say – break it! Yes, come on , break it and you can take the money! $3 million in cash! Well, that is really convincing!

The true is, that there were actually only $500 put on the top of the fake bills, and people were only allowed to use their feet to break it. In case, someone actually break it – there was a guard to assure that nobody kept the fake money from the glass. He also had to make sure that the rules of breaking it were being  followed.

P.S.: Anyone tried to break it?

Shocking Ads for TV Channel 13th Street (Calle 13)

When it comes to making an effective ad campaign that will be remembered shocking ads or shockvertising is a way to go.  Advertising Agency Shackleton from Madrid, Spain, have selected this way and made really creepy ads for the 13th Street (Calle 13) horror channel. It’s design and photography were highly appreciated by advertising specialists. Black humor and offensive images must be a killer mix when advertisers want to reach their audience,  especially when used in the right content – such as horror channel advertising.

Nikon really knows how to advertise camera’s functionality. While the fact that “The Nikon S60 detects up to 12 faces” may sound pretty outstanding it may be just not enough to convince a customer. Show it in a creative and funny way, make people talk about it and share the ads = lots of free advertising, and lots of buyers.
